Small cookies, filled with frosting or jam or jelly.
Cream buttor and brown sugar. Add vanilla and the yolk of the egg. mix in flour and salt. Make walnut shaped balls. Slightly beat egg white. Roll balls in egg white and then chopped pecans. press thumb or thimble in center of each ball. Bake at 375 for 12-15 mins. When Cooled, fill with frosting or jelly. Best is raspberry jam.
